He emphasized that Indian farmers are no longer solely providers of food but have also emerged as producers of energy through the increasing use of solar power systems.
Shekhawat said the government remains focused on expanding solar energy generation nationwide, with the objective of transforming every rooftop into a source of solar power, every household into an energy hub, and every agricultural field into a center of energy production.
Reaffirming the country’s renewable energy ambitions, the minister stated that India is rapidly progressing toward its target of achieving 500 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity.
